Shehzad Roy (Urdu: شہزاد روئے) is a Pakistani singer, social worker and humanitarian. He has recorded five albums, including the 2008 Qismat Apney Haath Mein (Fate Lies in One’s Own Hands). Roy is also the president and founder of Zindagi Trust, a non-profit charitable organization, that seeks to educate the underprivileged children of Pakistan.

In June 2004, Roy was the recipient of the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, which is one of the highest Civil Honors awarded in Pakistan for excellence in serving humanity> For his organization’s earthquake rehabilitation in Kashmir, he was awarded the Sitara-e-Eisaar. He was also selected to be a torch bearer for the 2008 Olympic Torch relay.[citation needed] Currently Roy is presenting a reality television show Chal Parha at Geo News.

Her father Swapan Saha is a noted Singer in Kolkata, while her mother Madhumita Saha is a journalist.
Her Musical journey started at tender age when her parents bought her a toy Piano. Since then, Soumita never swam out of the sea of music. The only child of her parents, she was given enough freedom to choose Music as a full time career.

She won several accolades at school level, performed at various occasions, was trained under eminent musicians and is now a part of several music bands.

She captured the vision of print media in 2002 after winning a gold medal in a reputed music competition in Kolkata. At age of 10, the child artist was on lime light.

He first big break came when she performed live on ETV Bangla. Since then she has performed on various big platforms. A local Radio Station Radio JU also broadcasted her Interview in their program Sanskriti.

This gave her energy to add her performance on Youtube. Soumita uploaded her song on YouTube Which gained her appreciations from several anonymous people as she says “I am not a tech savvy at all. Singing is my passion, in fact I am a low tech person“.

She is a versatile singer who did justice to songs like Ek pyaar ka nagma and Kuch is tarha teri palkein. Recently, her Mix album Tu Tu hai Wahi was released by Musicstars.

Soumita also performed brilliantly at studies. After completing her Senior Secondary she’s now pursuing a degree in Architecture. In her own words,

"After I complete my degree, I will have the opportunity to obtain a stable and challenging career.I know that the road ahead will not be easy for me, but I cannot stop here. I need to move on in order to reach my goals"

Inspired by the famous Song,’Maine Mere Jaana‘ by Kausiki Diwakar, Emptiness III portrays the gloomy picture of Heart when the Love vanishes from Someone’s Life.

Speaking about the Song, Soumita says, “My version of Emptiness is not about pleading the lost love to come back. It’s about the emptiness and the loneliness caused when the love is lost from life”.

The opening lyrics, “labz thi meri, dhun tha tera, adhuri si hai geet tere bina“, actually echoes the Emptiness felt in heart due to the sudden loss of Love, hence the Title. Tere Bina actually adds to the hunch of Love echoed by ‘Maine Mere Jaana’, first sung by Kausi Divakar.

A Re-Mix version of Tere Bina has been released by Music Stars, a studio from Los Angeles US. The Remix is composed by Ravi Soni.

Speaking about inspiration behind this Song, Soumita says, “When I was working on one of my Paintings, the emptiness was on my mind and somehow that painting gave me the idea”

Atif Aslam (Urdu: عاطف اسلم‎; born in Wazirabad, Gujranwala District, Punjab, Pakistan as Muhammad Atif Aslam) is a Pakistani pop singer and film actor. His debut as an actor was in the 2011 film Pakistani movie Bol. He has generated numerous chart-topping songs,and is known for his vocal belting technique.Atif is a recipient for the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, one of Pakistan's highest civilian decorations. He was also awarded with Brandlaureate International Brand Personality Award in Malaysia for his contributions towards enhancement of the well being of society.

Early life

Atif was born into a Muslim family in Wazirabad, of Gujranwala District, Punjab, in Pakistan and educated in Lahore & Rawalpindi.Atif went to kindergarten at Kimberley Hall School, Lahore. In 1991 he moved to Rawalpindi where he continued his studies in St Paul's School. Atif came back to Lahore in 1995 where he continued his studies in Divisional Public School, Lahore. He started his FSC in PAF Inter College Lahore. Atif is also a holder of a Bachelor's degree
.

Debut

On 17 July 2004 the first album titled Jal Pari.of Atif Aslam was released. On the outset, the album stood on the success of “Aadat” but as the weeks progressed; it was made clear to everyone that Atif wasn’t merely a one hit wonder.The album featured various smash hit tracks such as “Bheegi Yaadein”, “Ehsaas”, “Mahi Ve”, “Ankhon Sey” along with the title track “Jalpari”. Atif came up with his own sound. His unique vocal capabilities and powerful renditions elevated him to stardom within weeks. The album had become the youth anthem of Pakistan.

Atif never came from a family of musicians nor was he musically trained, but he used all these factors to his advantage. All he had was raw talent and the passion to be a musician. He was courageous enough to sing in his own style without giving an ear to his detractors. Many believe that the courage and passion he displayed in his first album became the foundation of his success. As Atif rode on the success of Jal Pari in Pakistan, he also proved that he was a stage performer through his concerts in the Indian Subcontinent.People were amazed to experience the kind of voice quality Atif was able to deliver in a live performance. His energy on stage, his charisma, his ability to work the crowd and his vocals made him the most sought after live performer in Pakistan and abroad. The artist started performing to sellout crowds on a regular basis. The energy level never reduced but the crowd kept on increasing. He has always admired Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Abida Parveen.

Concerts & Tours

His first stage performance was in a fancy dress show at his school where he performed as Imran Khan, the former captain of Pakistan national cricket team. Atif's collaborative performances include his tour of USA and Canada with RDB and Annie. Atif did his debut concert in New Jersey in Summer Beats 2008 that also featured Kailash Kher, Richa Sharma & Amanat Ali with 40 musicians and dancers at Sovereign Bank Arena NJ. After a sold out concert in New Jersey, Atif returned with his band and special guests to Queens Colden Center, New York after 6 years with same promoters to perform on July 2, 2010with special attention to Sound, Light and the whole production to give the audience a memorable experience.

North America saw Aslam & Shreya Ghoshal on their March, 2010 Tour of 10 shows in USA and Canada which got a huge success & inspired the organizers to conduct shows again in six more cities. Same year in April, Atif was also seen at Anthony Nesty Sports Hall, Suriname in South America.

Aslam also performed with Sunidhi Chauhan for the first time at Hershey Centre, Mississauga followed by another show at Oracle Arena, San Francisco, Oakland[13] in July 2011 during their USA & Canada tour.

Atif headlined alongside Jay Sean at Royal Albert Hall. He recently performed in London's O2 Arena on 22 April 2012  in a Bollywood Concert [16] to promote love, peace & unity among India and Pakistan becoming the first Pakistani pop singer to perform on The O2 Arena stage. His debut concert in Bangkok took place in October 2012along side three other Thai-Indian bands. Aslam will also be performing in 10 Major cities of Pakistan during his Jazz Jazba Generation Tour  where an exclusive backstage footage of Atif Aslam's experience during the tour, his interactions with his fans and intimate look at the man behind the superstar will be filmed for the very first time.

Atif in 2012 was named among top performers of Dubai alongside Pitbull, Enrique Iglesias, Il Divo, Gotye, Evanescence & Swedish House Mafia . With 25,000crowd his concert in Nepal was also a great success  where collective voice for his name made a song in the air. Atif also shared stage with Shalmali Kholgade in Dubai at Domeland . He will again perform live in UK but this time along side for the first time with Shaan, Malaika Arora Khan & Bipasha Basu in series of concerts  in summer 2013.

Hollywood

Atif has three songs featured in a Hollywood Movie, Man Push Cart which has won several international awards and was praised by critics.His two more songs ‘Doorie‘ and ‘Maula‘ from his second album Doorie have been picked up in 2010 for the soundtrack of the Hindi Version of a Mexican film La mujer de mi hermano directed by Ricardo de Montreuil.

Acting careerAtif made his acting debut in the 2011 Pakistani movie Bol.He also made a special appearance in film songs such as Tere Bin, Pehli Nazar Mein and Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya's song's Piya O Re Piya, Tu Mohabbat Hai, Be Intehan (Race 2) & Dil Na Jaane Kyun from Jayanta Bhai Ki Luv Story

Atif also appeared as a captain of Team Pakistan in a singing talent show called Sur Kshetra which was shot & broadcasted from Dubai where Indian & Pakistani contestants were competing against each other.
